I don't think it was so kind as to actually display an
error,
but something was going wrong in the config:

Good luck.

Actually I recently read half of the mod_perl2 book,
http://modperl2book.org/
, and I thought there were some things
about mod_perl2 that would be nice to incorporate more into
Bricolage,
in particular for configuration. (It was what made me ask
recently whether we should continue supporting mod_perl 1.)
One thing I learned was that apache2 loads the
configuration twice,
which might be causing some of the problems, though I don't
know
why it would cause a bus error.

I was getting errors from add_config() until I got the
configuration
just right. And then it crashed. I'm going to get some
debugging info
to Philippe today.

Once we've done one major release supporting both, and the
kinks have
been worked out with mod_perl 2, I'd be fine to dump it. The
releases
I'd like to se are:

Dev1: This week, supports both
Dev2: In a month or so, switches to preferring apache2
RC1
RCN
2.0.0: Supports both, apache2 preferred, apache1 deprecated
2.2.0: Apache 2 only.

Best,

David
