I'm pleased to announce two new Bricolage powered sites

Branded Content by Que Pasa (www.branded-content.co.uk)

This showcase site for the journalist writings of Que Pasa
Communications
uses Bricolage to manage all of the content on the site. The
content is
also syndicated from Bricolage via xml onto the companion
mobile site
(wap.branded-content.co.uk) and demonstrates how Bricolage
can be used to
manage content into a highly dynamic front-end.

Insight on Conflict (www.insightonconflict.org)

This unique resource provides access to the inspiring and
valuable lessons
of those living in conflict areas and working for peace.
This site shares
the same CMS as the parent site (www.peacedirect.org) and
uses many of
Bricolage's templating strengths to build topic maps and
paged indexes
whilst remaining easy for editors to work with.

Cool, thanks Simon!

I wonder if we should move the list of sites powered by
Bricolage
over to the wiki? Thoughts?

Best,

David

Hi everybody.

I think I'd lean against that a little, if only because it's
nice to
have the list of sites eating its own dogfood.

Also, the list has value in promoting the use of bricolage.
Isn't the
best home for it the place that gets the most traffic?

Then again, that means David has to do the updates. Maybe it
might be a
good idea to create a few more accounts and allow a few more
Bricoleurs
to edit (selected) stories on bricolage.cc?

Cheers,

Bret

I would help with that! I think content on the Bricolage
site could
be fluffed a little more. And more templates could be added.
And
apparently there is even David Wheeler news going on that
others
might be interested in.

I'm happy to let everyone know that part of our public web
site is now
under Bricolage management.

In particular, we are using Bricolage to enter and manage
our calendar
of events, event information, and our exhibition main page.

The schedules for events are entered in a computer-readable
way using an
extension I wrote to Bricolage, and display of the schedules
is
automated.

The templates are coded to properly regenerated other
dependent content
-- e.g. when an event is published, the calendar of events
pages are
automatically republished. I've also extended the system to
allow the
system to skip the distribution of HTML pages for a story at
publish
time if needs be -- in our case, many of the individual
events do not
need their own pages because there is limited content to
display, but
some do, so it had to be flexible.

Eventually, we hope to release an RSS feed using Bricolage
that will
contain all of the event information and schedules.
