I think at a minimum the wysiwyg content would have to be
processed and
automatic associations created / removed between assets
depending on
what the parser found and whether the links match up to
known URLs of
resources.

Do you just
We don't use WYSIWIG, internal links are via related
story/media. We
currently only manually audit. Our CMS produced content is
pretty good
right now, but link integrity will degrade over time. We
are looking at
automating our integrity check but have not settled on what
to use. We
would like to automatically send broken link results to the
person(s)
responsible for the page.
