Well, that sucked... (Bric Wiki)

Thought I'd invest a bit of time in cleaning up the Wiki and
getting  
that user table underway, but after about 18 minutes I got
stopped in  
my tracks...

First I got this:

Error

Your IP address 74.14.98.133 is black listed at the
Bricolage TWiki  
web site due to excessive access or suspicious activities.
Please  
contact site administrator natebricolage.cc if you got on
the list  
by mistake.

Then I got this:

Software error:

Can't call method "writeLog" on unblessed
reference at /usr/local/www/ 
doc_roots/wiki/lib/TWiki/Plugins/BlackListPlugin.pm line
700.
For help, please send mail to the webmaster (natebricolage.cc),  
giving this error message and the time and date of the
error.

Guess I'm going to give up for today.  :-(  Long-term, if we
want  
people to use / contribute to the Wiki, I think that we're
going to  
have to get something a little more user-friendly
up-and-running.

I'm sure Nate can help us get a whitelist (does twiki
support a dynamic whitelist, or does it require a
reconfig/restart) up and running...

Hi Phillip,

Yuck.  Sorry 'bout that.  I've removed your IP address from
the
BlackList.  Keep an eye on your Black List score in the
sidebar.  If
you're getting close to 120 over 300 seconds you'll get
banned.
Spammers love to abuse Wikis and the Black List Plugin is
our
(over-zealous) helper.  Here is the plugin page that
describes the
functionality.

I think the second error is a permission issue... I'll try
to take a
look at that (but you still wouldn't have had any fun
because you were
already blocked).

Agreed that folks wont want to play if it isn't easy, and
