Is anyone besides me experiencing reliability problems when
using SFTP
for pushing resources during preview and / or publication?

Define "reliability problems."

Also, what versions of Net::SFTP and of Net::SSH::Perl?

Best,

David

I'll check on the versions (I think they were the latest
last time I looked), but the problems I'm experiencing are:

* when a directory needs to be created in order to push a
newly minted resource, the very first attempt at sftp'ing
the resource to either the preview or publication server
fails -- the appropriate directories are created though; a
second attempt is successful

* intermittent failures when SFTP'ing updates to resources
that already exist on the server -- no associated error
message; just fails with an exception that Net:SFTP cannot
resolve to a specific cause

perl -MNet::SSH::Perl -le'print Net::SSH::Perl->VERSION'
1.30

perl -MNet::SFTP -le'print Net::SFTP->VERSION'
0.10

Hi everybody.

Yes, I'm having exactly the troubles David described
(directory gets
created on first try, but files are not uploaded). With
different
versions of those modules:

perl -MNet::SSH::Perl -le'print Net::SSH::Perl->VERSION'
1.25
perl -MNet::SFTP -le'print Net::SFTP->VERSION'
0.08

David, did you ever get this solved?

Also: I've had no luck at all getting Bricolage to use keys
for the SFTP
mover. Key-based login from the Bricolage machine to the
webserver works
like a charm, but Bricolage can't seem to manage it, so I've
resorted to
using passwords. Has anybody else had this problem? (And,
even better,
found a fix?)

Thanks,

Bret

Where are you putting the keys? From vague memory, there's
someplace
you can set an environmental variable indicating where the
keys should
live, but the default is /.ssh
