How is this different than already running MySQL, and
needing MS SQL
Server? My point was that PostgreSQL does indeed have
advantages,
and no matter which DB you're familiar with, if you require
another,
you've got the predicament described by the author.

More people are working on this than you know if "we
all need to make more effort". ;) I think it'll still
take a bit more time before I feel that Bricolage has hit
it's organizational stride since the official departure of
David (though I might note that I've chatted with him on IRC
a few times, and he's still as pleasant as ever, and still
has lots of knowledge about Bric.) I'm looking forward to
what comes... I've got hopes. Will they be realized? Time
will tell.

It isn't but mysql is more of a defacto standard, warts and
all.

http://sql-info
.de/mysql/gotchas.html

And quite a few OSS projects allow multiple RDBMS options so
you can
pick what works for you. Unless it's a rails app of course
in which case
you'd better drink the mysql koolaid

I agree, I'm looking forward to it and looking for ways to
release more
of our time to work on it too.
