published version only

I think I saw something about this recently, but I can't
find it on  
the list. If I am using bric_soap workflow publish
story_####, is  
there some argument I can pass to make sure it re-publishes
only the  
published version of a doc and does not publish a
checked-out version  
or something? Thanks.
