Hi!
and here's yet another new Bricolage driven site. Again, for
info,
ego, Output Channel, reference pages:
****************************************
We are pleased to announce yet another Bricolage and
Catalyst driven
website:
Zahnärzte in Sachsen ("dentists in saxony")
http://www.zahnae
rzte-in-sachsen.de
provides information and services around dentists everyday
life. Besides masses of information there is a job exchange,
education
events, online accounting, download area and news. Also
practice
employees, patients and press can find important information
and tools
here, e.g. schooling events, a dentists search and the
current
emergency plan.
The website itself is driven by a Catalyst application that
provides
dynamic pages and delivers the static pages from Bricolage
augmented
with dynamic information. An existing Java Cocoon
application for the
accounting and a Lucene based search engine solution for
public and
personal document management were integrated with a
combination of
reverse proxies plus filtering and supplementing pages with
pageframes
from Bricolage. All integrated applications are mantled by a
common
mod_perl2 based authentication/authorization layer providing
a common
Single-Sign-On using a LDAP database.
Technical highlights of the Bricolage solution are the
supply of
common page frames for all integrated third-party solutions,
multi
level Mason templates (first Bricolage, then Catalyst), a
fine grained
rights management, a dynamic navigation which works in
several
contexts (passive preview mode, live mode with hide/show of
internal
entries, also applicable to integrated applications),
implicit
switching of links to either preview pages or live
applications, an
infrastructure for synchronizing some Bricolage
development/live
systems and several SOAP based utility scripts.
Technical highlights of the Catalyst solution are the
transparent
integration of Bricolage page frames around Mason templates,
much
bidirectional encoding conversion between several UTF-8 and
non-UTF-8
applications (Oracle, LDAP, Authentication, Bricolage
content, third
party solutions) and descriptive URIs.
The Bricolage, Catalyst and integration work and design
(i.e.,
everything except the integrated Java solutions) is done by
webit! Gesellschaft für neue Medien mbH
