Thread: tying to find feature requests in bugzilla

tying to find feature requests in bugzilla

Hello

My primary questions are

1. Has anyone made a feature request to allow a story search
by
contributor name in the bricolage GUI?
2. Has anyone reported that the code select function was not
working
properly in 10.3?

If not - I will.

Now of course I did search the mailing list for evidence of
these
discussions, and then I went to the (dreaded) bugzilla. I
can never
find anything in bugzilla. It may be me, and it's just one
more piece
of software I need to take a long time to get to know before
it
becomes remotely functional for me. I did just do a search
for 'bugs'
called 'enhancements' with the word 'contributor' and it
returned
"Zarro Boogs found. " so that's interesting. I
doubt that's true.

How do we make feature requests for bricolage? Do we just
call it an
enhancement when we enter it in bugzilla? Is there a way to
just see
all these feature requests without having to enter detailed
search
criteria?

thank you
Dawn

Not to my knowledge.

I dunno. Is it working in 1.10.4?

I hate all bug tracking software.

Yes.

You should be able to just search for enhancements:

  http://bugs.bricolage.cc/
buglist.cgi?query_format=advanced&short_desc_type=allwor
dssubstr&short_desc=&long_desc_type=substring&lo
ng_desc=&bug_file_loc_type=allwordssubstr&bug_file_l
oc=&deadlinefrom=&deadlineto=&bug_status=NEW&
;bug_status=ASSIGNED&bug_status=REOPENED&bug_severit
y=enhancement&emailassigned_to1=1&emailtype1=substri
ng&email1=&emailassigned_to2=1&emailreporter2=1&
amp;emailcc2=1&emailtype2=substring&email2=&bugi
dtype=include&bug_id=&votes=&chfieldfrom=&ch
fieldto=Now&chfieldvalue=&cmdtype=doit&order=Imp
ortance&field0-0-0=noop&type0-0-0=noop&value0-0-
0=

Best,

David

Thanks David. I dug a little and found more details. Nice to
know
others also find the bug reporting software less than
immediately user-
friendly.

I see documentation and templating are still bug category
items in the
bugzilla. As someone who selfishly wants to just learn one
system, and
kinda likes trac, could we ever move bug/enhancement
tracking to trac
for the whole bricolage project?

Or have I missed some important discussion on this point? If
so please
refrain from throwing tomatoes my way.

Didn't Greg and Bret work on these in 10.3 ? Or, at least,
get the to
work?

Phillip.

The bug is still there in 1.10.4. We had a quick discussion
about it
off-list but I'll put a patch together and submit it soon.

Basically, the code select validator that runs in the
"Element Type
Profile" when you initially add a CS is different from
the validator
that runs from within the "Field Type Profile".
