question on msil

Related to my last post about securing .net code, what is
the reason
that.net  was created in this manner? I mean I am sure there
is some logical
reason that a .net assembly is so easily readable via the IL
and hackible by
modifying the il and then recompiling it using the ilasm.



Any comments?  Thanks.
