question about Microsoft ATLAS related error

We implemented some code using Atlas (before it became MS
Ajax) and
configured the web.config manually instead of doing the full
install on
our servers.  Now we are receiving error although the user
experience is
fine.  Here is what we are seeing:

ce.axd

System.Security.Cryptography.CryptographicException

Padding is invalid and cannot be removed.

 

Has anyone come across this yet?
