coding GUI navigation

Hi devs,

I am learning C#, and I am busy with an ASP.NET GUI demo. My
background is mainly ActionScript 2.0. What are the best
practices to setup GUI navigation, going from one form to
another, without losing information (as happens with html
linking)? 

I couldn't find any answer in the archives of this list. I
hope my question is worth anwering.

In Visual Studio 2005 there are navigation controls such as
Treeview, Menu
and SiteMapPath. You do not need to code manually.
