global.asax and inline code

That does make sense. I am doing some nifty but one-off
manipulation of the
IPrincipal object in Forms auth, it seems like I probably
wouldn't need a
HttpModule. Opinions?

My theory is that developers are better off with an
HttpModule, as
global.asax has a tendency to become a big ball of mud.
Developers still
writing / porting ASP script are looking for the equivalent
of global.asa.
Just say no to global.asax.
