tar commandline does not work on Solaris run n Parallels

Hello,

I am downloaded the SXDE appliance for Parallels running on
a MAC.  For some reason tar does not work.  I am getting the
following error messages:

bash: tar -x --bzip2 -f xulrunner-18.1.4-source.tar.bz2
tar: /dev/rmt/0: No such file or directory

When I list what is in /dev/rmt their is nothing.  Any
suggestions?

You're calling tar but you're expecting GNU tar.

Use gtar.
