Nope, it does not support 802.3ad LACP. This is the one I
use at home:

As most Procurve units, does what you expect, does it well,
no more, no less.

so far I haven't been able to find any documentation about
whether or not it supports the 802.3as Standard or not. It
seems doubtful that a consumer-class Swith would support
something like this. If anyone knows of one that does, could
you please post the make/model here?

Hi Dave,

I've heard a few people now mention they're using the HP
Procurve 1800-8G 8-port managed switch. What is the
interface to it: telnet/web interface?

And if it supports both a web interface and a telnet
interface, can all the options be changed via both
interfaces? How fast is navigating and changing the settings
via the web interface?

The reason I ask is that I'm using a Linksys SRW2008 managed
switch, but with telnet access you can only change a small
subset of the options, and the web interface only supports
Internet Explorer, so when you're running on a Mac, Linux,
Solaris you are a bit out of luck :(

My trick to get around this serious limitation was to fire
up a virtualised Windows and then run Internet Explorer
there. But this really lets down this switch and for that
reason, I would not recommend it to people , unless they are
managing it from Windows, and even then the web interface is
so slow it makes a sloth look fast
