Looking for an individual with excellent communication skills and a high level understanding of different application technologies and industry standards (ie: Websphere/ .NET / Portal). This position does not involve hands-on system administration or development / coding functions. While a background in development is desirable the position is focused on architecting corporate wide solutions not working on a specific application project. This requires an understanding of how a variety of technologies and products interact and function. • Ability to translate business needs into technical architecture requirements. • Ability to apply multiple technical solutions to business problems. • Ability to quickly comprehend the functions and capabilities of new technologies. • Exceptional interpersonal skills, including teamwork, facilitation, and negotiation. • Strong leadership skills. • Excellent analytical and technical skills. • Excellent written and oral communications skills. • Excellent planning and organizational skills. • Analyzes proposed IT solutions, detects critical deficiencies, and recommends solutions for improvement compliant with the future state EA guidance. • Coordinates and designs the governance activities associated with ensuring compliance with EA and Technology Roadmap. • Participates in the evaluation and selection of hardware and software product standards, as they apply to the design of standard configurations and technology stacks. • Participates in the documentation of all architecture design and analysis work. • Assists in the development and execution of a communication (including education) plan for EA. • Assesses (via appropriate measurement) and communicate the achievement and impact of EA. • Providing Architecture Assessments for the local technology review board. • Coordinating the NAFTA Architecture Board and Domain Team processes. Customer Interaction Work with application architects and technology owners to understand current processes and to document architectures and product standards. Architectures include : Application Architecture, Infrastructure Architecture, Technical Architecture. Technology Portal Architecture Functionality Testing (Unit and System Testing) Develop system test and user acceptance test plans. Perform the testing and approve functionality per requirements. Perform QA Testing on functionality Content Coordination Manage architecture content on the portal, identify and collect items for publishing on portal, approve content for publishing on portal. Seek ways to obtain and publish new content on the portal. Maintaining IT Technology Roadmap, product lifecycle management process. Assisting in creation and documentation of architecture patterns and diagrams Site Administration Serve as the customer contact, answer user questions regarding use of the architecture functionality on the portal, track feedback Content Audit Perform content audit, notify owners about content related tasks and keep standards updated on the portal. Minimum Experience: 3-5 years of IT experience. Focus on architecture design and documentation, technical writing, knowledge management. Very good interpersonal skills, Good technical writing skills, Excellent written and verbal communication skills, Strong customer orientation.
