Required Skill set:

8-12 years, relevant work experience in technology network architecture, design & engineering techniques and standards including access to LAN/WAN, circuit/trunk sizing, terminating equipment, routing design, contingency and recovery planning.  ; 

Knowledge of Cisco switches and routers, various network service architectures and transport technologies, access/egress arrangement.  Facilities engineering, procurement and diagnostic techniques, project coordination, and project management.

Desired: 

          CCIE Certification, BS and MS Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Equivalent.

Description:

          Supporting and managing a suite of clients business solutions utilizing a combination of internally developed solutions integrating the best of breed 3rd party software, the team focuses on implementations that will ultimately be delivering information directly to both our internal and external client base and comprises over 50 websites of relative size, covering a broad variety of web technologies, predominantly Apache/Tomcat on Linux and Solaris but also including ASP.Net applications on Windows servers.

          Our applications focus on the dissemination of information our clients. These include the display of market index data, indicative pricing of fixed income asset classes and market commentary. We also maintain the FI and FX research system?  

          Managing submissions from research analysts and the corresponding distribution of this data to BondHub, Bloomberg and via email.

          In addition to web-based applications, the team supports a rapidly growing Fixed Income FIX-based client connectivity solution, distributing offerings in FIX or XML and handling trade allocations

          Ensure reliable, resilient connectivity between internal applications and external client systems Facilitate regional Web-site and application design.   Implement fully resilient and load-balanced application and database infrastructure using technologies such as 3DNS, ITM and Big-IP Manage and maintain Web-site content and the associated release management procedure Build / maintain regional business / cross-functional relationships.

#6. Sybase DBA with Oracle(Job Id: 15J2)

Duration: 6 Months

Location: Weehawken, NJ

Rate: $52/Hour

Minimum Requirements:

          Sybase 12.5 and Oracle 9.x

          Financial/brokerage experience a huge plus

          Must have worked in a 24/7 environment.
          Install, configure and administrate Sybase 12.5 instances in a 24/7 environment

          Configure and administer Oracle 9.x in a 24/7 environment.  

          Troubleshoot and performance tune Sybase and Oracle databases.  

          Provide automated DR solutions utilizing Sybase replication and Oracle Data Guard.     

Design and implement automated incremental and cold backup recovery procedures using RMAN. ; 

          Analyze and conduct capacity planning reviews of existing systems.

Applicant must meet ALL of these requirements.  

Description:

          Backfilling routine production support tasks so that existing people working there can work on other things.  

          Database capacity analysis of all Tier 1 and many Tier 2 applications to ensure existing infrastructure and storage.  

          Can accommodate 10-15% increase in utilization.  

          Subsequent installations and configuration changes would also be picked up by this consultant.
