THE PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY OF THIS POSITION WILL BE TO
PERFORM
WHITE/GRAY BOX TESTING TASKS FOR ALL THE QC PROJECTS. THIS
INCLUDES
DEVELOPING, MAINTAINING, AND EXECUTING AUTOMATED TEST
SCRIPTS AND
LIBRARIES FOR THE REGRESSION, CODE, AND BUILD VERIFICATION
TEST
EFFORTS. OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE ASSISTING THE QC
MANAGER TO
COORDINATE TESTING EFFORTS FOR VARIOUS LDC PROJECTS,
WHITE/GRAY BOX
TEST CASES, AND WHITE/GRAY BOX TEST RESULTS ANALYSIS. THIS
POSITION
ENSURES THAT ALL BENCHMARKS ARE BEING MET AND REPORTED
ACCURATELY TO
THE PROJECT TEAMS, QC MANAGER, AND ALL OTHER LDC
STAKEHOLDERS.
Technical Skills:
Required:
· 3 - 5 years hands-on test automation experience in a web,
client
server, Mainframe, data warehouse, and/or enterprise
application
environments.
· Hands on testing for Java, Oracle based applications.
· Familiarity with RUP, QA/QC methodologies, and the
Software
Development Life Cycle.
· Familiarity with JUnit, Cactus, JProbe and JOptimizeIt.
· Demonstrated programming skills in JAVA and C/C++
· Computer proficiency to include UNIX, MS Office on Windows
2000,
XP, and 2003 operating systems
· 2 - 5 years in a Whitebox or Graybox Test responsibilities
· Working knowledge of database servers (Oracle) application
servers
(WebLogic, WebSphere), UNIX (Solaris) and Windows 2000
· Experience developing white/gray box test cases, and
metrics
reporting.
· Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
Preferred:
· Familiarity testing in a Mainframe and/or Business Objects
environments.
· Demonstrated skills in creating, maintaining, and
debugging
automated test scripts
· Knowledge, experience, and the ability to make analyze
code test
metrics and results.
· Ability to tune and recommend hardware and network
configurations
for optimal system performance levels.
· Excellent communication skills with technical and
non-technical
project team members
· Bachelors degree in a related discipline is preferred
· Assist in the implementation and maintenance of JUnit,
Cactus,
JProbe, and JOptimizeIt white/gray box test tools.
· Automate baseline project white/gray box test cases
· Architect, own, and become the administrator for the
automated whit
box test suite library
· Lead the automated code test efforts and script
development to
identify system constraints, tuning adjustments, and build
stability.
· Create white/gray box test cases from specified project
requirements
· Pro-actively participate in all SDLC project milestone
reviews
· Report test execution coverage and "red flag"
issues to QC
manager and other project stakeholders
· Attend projects and process meetings/review as one the
QA/QC
representatives
· Attend Code Reviews
· Formulate and develop metrics and measurements to
determine the
effectiveness and progress of the product being tested, and
automation
testing efforts being applied through code analysis, code
performance
and unit testing
· Coordinate automation test efforts with other QC support
groups
(Lab/Environment Engineers, QC Leads, QC Manager, and
Configuration
Management).
· Develop and maintain effective communication relationships
with
both technical and non-technical project team members.
· Database/Data testing database servers Oracle, application
servers
WebLogic, UNIX (Solaris, and Windows 2000.
· Manage and organize automated test effort deliverables to
QC Leads,
the QC Manager, and other Project stakeholders.
· Perform related duties as assigned
