C2Cjobs Need EMC ECC/Storage Technician

Schedule - Hours will be 7:00am to 6:00pm T-F (may extend) and one outage window (Saturday from 8:00pm to 2:00am) once every 5-6 weeks.

Scope - The selected candidate will be proficient in ECC/SDR storage provisioning along with having a high level of skill with Windows/Unix servers, Windows XP and backup/restore for the enterprise. The position will provide third level call support (about 30 calls a month), daily EMC storage provisioning with ECC, installing applications, troubleshooting high-level issues and coordinating all storage and backup requests through the ticket tracking tool.

Required Skills:

• Superior Customer service,communication, teamwork, and troubleshooting skills
• Proficient in allocating storage with ECC, Navisphere and related EMC tools
• Proficient in EMC SDR work
• In-depth understanding of Unix and Windows NT server 5. In-depth understanding of Windows XP 6. Ability to provide process documentation and informal training

Required Education/Experience:

• Certifications in any of the following: SUN, UNIX, Windows NT, backup products, external storage, network or other related I/S area.
• Minimum 5 years experience supporting operating systems or external storage or backup or tape infrastructures.
• Minimum 1 year experience in an Enterprise company with more than 5,000 PCs, 300 Servers, Storage Area Network, External Storage.
• Storage Virtualization experience with HDS, IBM or EMC 2. Experience with TSM backup
• Experience managing EMC NAS, DMX, Claiirons, CDL
• Experience with Falconstore 
• High-level Database experience SQL or Oracle
• High-level understanding of virtual tape
• Project Management 8. Experience in Federal regulation for data and storage
• Visual Basic 6.0 programming check, date results received and status of results.
