Specific Job
Responsibilities:
**Codes, tests, implements
and supports the ETL processes for data warehouse solutions and related data
marts.
**Oversees data warehouse
& data mart load results and trouble shoot load issues.
**Fine-tunes performance
of the Oracle database processes in the Data Warehouse Staging Area.
**Develops, coordinates,
executes complex test plan, assuring that both component and integrated tests
are successfully completed.
**Develops, prepares
and/or maintains system documentation, including program descriptions, report
descriptions, user manuals, operations procedures, screen descriptions,
application flows, etc.
**Maintains client
confidence by protecting confidential information.
**Provides status reports
according to departmental and project standards.
Required:
**Knowledge of Data Warehouse
development, exposure to DW development activities including ETL, ER data
models, dimensional models, presentation and report integration.
**High degree of knowledge of Oracle
DBMS, PL/SQL programming.
**Ability to execute project
plans.
**Experience developing complex
software applications.
**Experience in the understanding and
application of all processes in system development
methodology's.
**Two-Three years experience developing
applications using PL/SQL.
**Two-Three years experience developing
applications in a UNIX environment including UNIX shell
scripting.
**
Two - Three years experience working with Oracle databases in a date
warehouse/data mart context.
Preferred:
**Three - five (3-5) years of
programming experience developing complex software applications using system
development methodology's.
**Three - five (3-5) years experience
developing applications with PL/SQL and C or C++.
**Three - five (3-5) years experience
working with Oracle databases in a data warehouse/data mart
context.
