Required skills are RPG, ILE, DB2, CLP, and SQL.

 

Job Description:

Responsible for the design, development, coding, testing, debugging and documentation of applications to satisfy the requirements of one or more user areas.  May include hands-on new development as well as support, maintenance or enhancement of existing applications.  Works closely with client management to identify and specify complex business requirements and processes.  Researches and evaluates alternative solutions and makes recommendations.

 

This resource type provides analytical, technical, business and management expertise to the group and completes assignments which require this expertise.  The resource may be required to lead teams of up to 10 professionals or operations personnel.  This resource will respond and resolve issues beyond standard management requests as well as using independent judgment to make decisions where no clear precedents exist.

This level should typically be used for a senior or lead level resource.

Role Specific Responsibilities

           ;        Participates in project planning sessions with businesses, business analysts, and team members to analyze Business IT requirements

           ;        Participates with project team members to define and design scope for each project

           ;        Translates business and technical requirements into application modules

           ;        Contributes to the development of information models, such as entity relationship diagrams and objects

           ;        Provides design recommendations, developing and integrating programs per written specifications

           ;        Develops and tests software application modules using disciplined software development processes

           ;        May be required to undertake some database development work

 

Continuous Improvement

           ;        Contributes to continuous improvement (e.g., CMMI, team process improvements, etc.)

           ;        Proactively supports knowledge sharing within the IB Application Engineering team and across IB Technology

           ;        Adopts a proactive approach to all problem solving activities, identifying and correcting root causes as well as addressing specific symptoms
