Hello,

I am new at CAcert and i have some questions, hope someone
can help me
with it...
We have a domain and i am the administrator also.

1) Can i with CAcert digitally sign my e-mail in outlook ?

2) if i can sign my e-mails, how do i do it ? do i only need
a client
certificate ? i have a client certificate but i don't know
what to do
with it or how to use it.

3) I want to make a certificate for a server, but have to
make one for
my domain first.
I made one for the domain, and i choosed to send the e-mail
to
admin(at)searo . be ,but i am not receiving an e-mail.
I tested and mailed from gmail to that address and it is
coming to me.

thnx.
Philippe.

You need to "Verify" your domain through the
CACert.org site. This
process generates no keys, it simply allows you to create
keys for
servers on that domain. This will send an email to your
CACert default
email address. Once you have verified the domain, you can
create a
server cert.

Note: I have not tried to create a server cert without a
verified
domain, so I am not sure if the CN can be simply a server
name, and not
a FQDN. A more experienced person will have to correct me
if I am
wrong.

I assume this has to do with the domain verification
process? If this
is the case, you need to verify that you are checking the
default email
address listed in the "Email Addresses" section of
your account.

HTH,
John
