SUMMARY:

Network Support

CCNA required CCIE a plus.
Important specifics are a working knowledge of IP subnetting, BGP protocol, OSPF protocol, 802.x standards, Cisco 3000 VPN servers, Cisco PIX firewalls, Cisco works, Cisco TACACS. A nice to have would be a working knowledge of Juniper Netscreen Firewalls.

Candidate should have general operator knowledge of Solaris since the infrastructure is being moved to Sun Broomfield campus or interfaces with Sun infrastructure. Candidate should be able to use Telnet, SSH terminal applications to access administrator functions on above mentioned equipment. SSH is used extensively at Sun.
