  We have an urgent opening for a Senior Data Modeler in Jersey City, NJ.

  Job Description:

  Minimum of 8+ years experience in developing enterprise information models and strong knowledge in E-R and dimensional modeling

Senior Data Modeler with DWH/Operational data store experience .

Develops data models for an investment management firm for Common Reference Data (CRD) model and dimensional models for various business areas.

Develop data modeling standards and documentation.

Develop enterprise data model management process to manage multiple data models developed by different groups.

 

Translate business requirements (BRD) into data needs and develop detail E-R  and dimensional models representing those needs.

Identify and document data definitions, business rules and business metrics.

Be a key part of the development of metadata standards and enterprise information dictionary.

Conduct source data analysis of various data sources and develop source-to-target mappings with business rules.

Set standards for use of ERWIN for modeling and model management process using ERWIN.

Key requirement -

Must have at least 5 + years in securities, investments experience.

Strong knowledge and experience of data requirements and modeling in the investment management industry with focus on Common Reference Data

Strong working experience on projects in the investment management/financial services industry

Business knowledge of BI needs in the investment management industry

Strong knowledge in data warehousing concepts and an understanding of the roles for operational data store, data warehouse, data marts

Prior working in Securities Industry is a must.

Represent a knowledge base of data requirements in the investment management industry in areas such as; fixed income, equity, trading, sales & marketing, security master, industry classifications, etc
