About the
Position:
The Senior J2EE Developer will be responsible for Analysis, Design, Coding and
Unit Testing for a Credit Pricing application. Code construction tasks are the
focus of responsibilities which also include code reviews and support for
System and Acceptance testing.
Responsibilities:
• Develop new components and enhancements for Credit Pricing applications.
Credit Pricing applications are implemented in a J2EE platform using Sybase
database. They include 3 web apps and several batch programs/processes.
• Review business requirements, use cases and provide feedback to management
and/or business analysts.
• Design and document complex application functionality.
• Implement complex functionality in various layers of J2EE applications
including presentation, business logic and persistence layers.
• Assist QA by reviewing test plans, test case scenarios as well as resolving
test findings.
Qualifications:
Must-Have Skills:
- 5+ years experience in J2EE/weblogic technologies including EJB,
JSP.

Expert knowledge in OO Design, OO Programming, Design Patterns,
Container Managed Persistence.

4+ years experience using RDBMS (Sybase preferred).

Extensive experience in developing and maintaining UNIX shell
scripts.

Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Sciences, Information Systems or
related fields.

Demonstrated ability to independently research, troubleshoot and
resolve complex problems.

Nice
to Have Skills:
- Experience in developing Financial/Mortgage applications.
- Experience in using rules libraries or expression parser (
e.g. Cayenne ).

Working knowledge of J2EE UI technologies including Struts, Tile
& JSTL. ;

Working knowledge of a Reporting Template Library (e.g.
FreeMarker, Text).

Candidate with more than 7 years of exp on J2EE platform and should have more
than 4 years of solid design and architecture exp for J2EE platform. Experience
is must in: Rational Software Architect, WebSphere, Struts, Tiles, Spring, JSP,
iBatis and JIBX
