Maintain current Java, ASP, and .NET applications within the SCS-SMDC group and possibly other groups within the Client
Some new application development may be required. The Java applications may be client or web applications. As part of maintenance or new application development, the developer is expected to do the following:
Research and analyze existing code
Write new code
Revise existing code according to specifications
Research application problems and assist in resolution either by sharing information or making code changes
Share technical and application information with others
Thoroughly test all written code
Assist in migrating applications through development, QA, and into Production
Document code, architecture, and other areas as requested
Train other IT resources on how to use or set up the application
Ability to multi-task and work supporting critical applications in a team environment, develop realistic estimates and meet scheduled due dates. Strong communication

skills.

Basic Qualifications: 3+ years J2EE/Java development experience within Websphere Environment

Experience with:

DB2 and SQL Server data bases
Object oriented design
Standalone JAVA application development
J2EE (EJB, Struts, Web Service, JUnit)
ASP development
