I have further information regarding this issue.
I am able to check out the module which has the problematic
xml file in.
the checkout works fine but when i viewed the XML file in
binary mode, i
noticed the first two characters are OxFFFE !!
Very strange.
I checked the file in under a new name, edited the file and
removed
these first two characters. Then commited to CVS.
Not only have the the first two characters been changed back
to FFFE in
the sandbox, but the file was converted to a true unicode -
2 bytes per
character.
It seems to me as thought UTF-8 files should not be checked
in as
unicode files - or am i missing something?
