Im trying to import a empty folder , but getting the error
message

cvs import: No CVSROOT specified! Please use the `-d'
option
cvs [import aborted]: or set the CVSROOT environment
variable.

Tried specifying -d option also

cvs -d :sspi:usernameservername:/Repository import -m
"importing
folder" New

Where New is the folder to import

Then got the error:

***** CVS exited normally with code 1 *****

Usage: cvs import [-C] [-d] [-f] [-h] [-k subst] [-I ign]
[-m msg] [-b
branch]
    [-W spec] [-n] [-F] repository [vendor-tag]
[release-tags...]
-C	Create CVS directories while importing.
-d	Use the file's modification time as the time of import.

-W spec	Wrappers specification line (! to reset).
