    I need to create an animated element for an educational game and to
move it on the screen. I've used an control, set the background color
as transparent (.net 2) and the frame of the animation as background
image. When I try to move it across a form with a background the
animation is slow nd flicckering even usig double buffering. I'm nw to
this kind of programming, so I supose that my solution has a simply a
very bad performance. How can iI obtain a better result?

Do you have some example code? There are thousands of things
that can
make software slow so it's nearly impossible to answer your
question
without a look at the code.
