Not sure why it's not doing multi-page.  But, no problem,
turns out my
Fujitsu scanner comes with two drivers.  The other one seems
to be a
TWAIN frontend to WIA (?).  It's both faster and does
multifeed without
any further tweaking.

I think I'm finally done .
