Hi All,

Greetings from Infotech Spectrum, Inc.!!!

We are in urgent need for the following positions that would be a potential prospect for serving our client expectations.

Please review the job description below:

Positions Details:

Here are some positions that we need to fill soon.  They are 24+ months contract position in NYC, NY.

Also, when you submit, I need 2 references to submit along side (name, number, email)

4676 - Network Admin (LDAP) - 1 HC (Pay rate approx $55/hr corp)

The project will require a resource to lead the activities related to the conversion of IBM LDAP to DoITT̵7;s Novell LDAP. ; Initially, the resource will prepare the EDS environment for the migration of the application to the Enterprise Director and configuration of LDAP services to handle application needs.  The resource will also be responsible for the deployment of LDAP infrastructure components required to support  use of the Enterprise Directory.  Additionally, the resource will implement monitoring capabilities and reporting necessary for application needs.  Ultimately, the resource will provide on-going administration of LDAP.

4677 - Network Engineer (HOD) – 1HC (Pay rate approx $55/hr corp)

The current  mainframe access environment is via a complex, customized environment using IBM’s Host on Demand (HOD) product, which consists of a number of servers and client over both IP (Internet Protocol) and SNA (System Network Architecture) networks, as well as SNA to IP conversion to access the mainframe for terminal emulation.

Currently, the Host System Connectivity group is responsible for all network access to the mainframe via either SNA or TCP/IP using the 3270 presentation protocols.  However, there are no resources on the Host Systems Connectivity team that have the required in-depth knowledge of Host On Demand to manage this environment and migrate it to DoITT̵7;s chosen solution for 3270 access over the IP network (SNA to remote users is being phased out due to IBM’s announced end-of-life for the 3745 SNA controller which is responsible for all SNA/3270 access to the mainframe today), which is Open Connect217;s WebConnect product.

In addition to the above, there are number of LU6.2 applications which are used by  to conduct critical business for the City, including the STARS system used for the parking scofflaw data base. ; By its very nature, LU6.2 requires connectivity via the IBM 3745 and NCP Token Ring (as stated above, these are soon-to-be unsupported technologies).  Therefore, DOF and DoITT are examining alternate technologies to migrate these applications to native IP, or 3270 (non-LU6.2).  The ITCS resource requested will need to assist in this effort to ensure that these apps are successfully migrated off the 3745 by researching non-LU6.2/SNA and IP based alternative connectivity options.  The provision of this resource is necessary to ensure timely completion of the tasks necessary to migrate mainframe access from the existing Host on Demand environment, to WebConnect.  Additionally, DoITT will be able to continue to manage the existing environment before and during the migration.

4677 - LAN Admin - 2 HC (Pay rate approx $55/hr corp)

Two ITCS resources are being requested to assist the LAN team in providing 24x7 advanced network coverage in the new development efforts.  Workload for the requested personnel will be distributed between Design and Operations. ; Each resource will be responsible for taking the lead role in developing and implementing advanced network management programs and services in support of the project.  The resources will review and evaluate current and future network management platforms and configurations and provide rapid and effective troubleshooting capability for operators and network engineers for the  Infrastructure, interface with other groups both inside and outside of DoITT in order to meet network management requirements, design and configure network management (Tivoli/NetCool) platforms, configure network devices for SNMP traps and conditions as required as well as all  infrastructure elements; produce network device performance/utilization reports, provide high-level technical review for problems on  network managements platforms, including application and system software; install and configure base operation systems for products including Solaris, Windows 2000/3, Linux, and other operating systems.  The resources will also develop and maintain paging scripts for notification in the event of a device failure, establish device thresholds for alerts, create management reports for network health statistics, service the change process by disabling alarms and alerts during required maintenance and maintain and track device moves, adds and deletes of network elements in the  infrastructure.

IBM System Architect (AIX) – 3 HC (Pay rate approx $50/hr corp)

DoITT, DOF and CGI-AMS are in the midst of finalizing the “New” architecture.  The new architecture will at a minimum double our current server inventory and in turn allow twice the number of application instances for which the Unix Shared Services Unit will be responsible for managing.  The “New” environment is largely a concentration of IBM/AIX Unix hardware and software for which we have no current resident in house expertise.  We are requesting threw positions as a means to provide immediate as well as long term IBM/AIX architectural design and maintenance for this new environment.  These positions will also provide immediate assistance for the migration of applications such as ePermits and NYCProperty.

Content Manager Administrator - 1 HC (Pay rate approx $50/hr corp)

The role of the Content Manager Administrator (TSM) is primarily that of an infrastructure administrator.  The activities, as they relate to the Project, involve the management of the TSM environment, which is used by the DOF/ application development teams.  The TSM Administrator will be responsible for installing configuring and managing IBM Content manager on the AIX platform, managing Content Manager data, creating, planning and performing data migration strategies on Content Manager as well as planning and performing performance monitoring and tuning.  The TSM Administrator will also be required to perform Content Manager Administration in a 3-tiered enterprise application environment.  Some work may also be required involving DB2, HACMP and Websphere.  Solid documentation and presentation skills will also be required.

Please respond with Resume, Rate and Phone numbers of the Consultant. Make sure the Consultant's skills match the requirement.

I will contact you, if I need more information.

Looking forward to work with you.

Thanking you & Have a great day !!!

Best Regards,

Anthony
