C-Sharp (C#) Group: Unable to modify property

Hi,

im new to C# development.
i ve  been working in a maintainance project.

i am unable to modify the 'SelectionLength' property of a
textbox.

even while debugging , i ve hardcoded the value and still it
has the
value zero.
also , its readonly property is not true.

what shd be done ? can anyone help.
