I have a MBP, but I think I might have been just as happy
with a MB,
except for the the integrated video card chewing up some of
the RAM.

I have heard that the best performing install of XP is on a
MBP right
now...though another Mac-guy told me that. In any case, you
can now
dual boot the mac books with XP (or Linux, BSD, etc).

Is it worth going with a Mac? That's tough actually. I like
Macs a
lot, but I can't exactly explain why. The interface is just
nice. I
think I am marginally more productive on a Mac, though I
can't point
to any one reason...I probably just feel better spending
more time
infront of it.

In all honesty....the fluff is what makes a Mac. =-)
