Dear All,

We have officially released Campsite 2.5.1 "Eli" earlier today (10 April 2006).

The 2.5.1 is a maintenance release and includes numerous minor bug fixes and updated localizations for nine languages, plus a brand new localization in French.

So who should upgrade? If you haven't experienced any problems (doublecheck with the list below nonetheless ;), you can probably wait until the next major release. You may, however, want to take a look at the manual, which has been updated describe all the new features in Campsite 2.5.x

What's new:

    * Brand new French localization
    * Fully updated localizations in Arabic, Croatian, German, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Serbian (Cyrillic), Serbo-Croatian (Latin), and Swedish
    * The Xinha editor now can handle more than 9 images in an article field
    * Subheads now work correctly in Xinha
    * User creation date now shows up correctly
    * Topics: Root topic language now defaults to the user interface language
    * Parts of the Home page are now formatted correctly when there are no articles
    * A minor Localizer-related installation bug was eliminated
    * PHP notice in "Add new user type" is no longer there (most users never saw it anyway)
    * Several previously uncaught strings (65 and Over, Users, Help) are now localizable (thanks to our localizers for pointing out those!)
    * Main menu items are now all correctly escaped for javascript (the bug had caused the main menu not to show up in French)
    * Updated Manual with documentation for 2.5 features
    * The article indexer now works correctly with a blank database
    * Maintenance scripts from older Campsite versions are now deleted automatically when upgrading.

The latest Campsite release can be found at the usual place:

Best regards and apologees for crossposting.

Sava
