Thanks for the replies on the previous question, I'm trying
it out atm.

However, our current hosting company only has a postgresql
database
server available. I'm wondering how difficult it would be
to port
campsite to use that instead of mysql? I haven't looked
thouroughly on
the source yet, but I've noticed it uses a database
abstraction library
which supports postgres, that should hopefully simplify
things.

If it's impossible/very difficult we'll just have to
switch hosting
company, but hopefully we won't need to do that.

The admin interface does use an abstraction library, but
unfortunately
the frontend template parser does not. We are replacing the
template
parser in campsite version 3.0, which should come out
sometime this
summer. In theory, it should be easier to use other
databases in this
new version. Until then, its MySQL only.
