Missing extensions / trying to install campware

I'm trying to install campware to my dev box so I can start
helping out
on some coding, but can't get past the install.

I am running Ubuntu Linux 6.06 LTS LAMP - install keeps
telling me that
PHP MYSQL extension is missing, but its definately not.

I've got the extension installed for both php4 and 5 on my
system.

Any suggestions?
