Hi Sava,
Of course we have linux servers and I forgot to mention that
we tried this
on ubuntu and it gave the same error so it's a
php - apc issue not an OS
problem.

Raed,
Don't you have a Linux server? Or are you just enjoying
being masochistic
;)))
Seriously, any windoze heads around here who could help?

Please respond to

What, no comment, no ideas???? We are still not able to test
version 3.0
because of this apc error. Is there a way to disable
Campsite usage of apc
until this is resolved? Do you have any workaround solution
for this?

platform
Dear All,
Hi, we are trying to install campsite 3.0 on Windows to test
its
functionality. However we are running in a strange problem
with the PECL
APC
extension. We installed the APC by downloading the dll file
from
http://pecl4win.php.net/download.php/ext/5_2/5.2.1
/php_apc.dll
And used it along with:
Apache 2.2.4
PHP 5.2.3
MySQL 5.0.41
The installation of the campsite went fine until the last
step where you
input the admin password and email and click next. Doing so
will render a
404 error and shut down apache server. After further
investigation it turns
out that trying to access the instance homepage produce this
error in
apache
logs:
[Sun Nov 04 10:37:41 2007] [notice] Child 2696: Starting
thread to listen
on
port 80.
[Sun Nov 04 10:37:49 2007] [apc-error] Cannot redeclare
class file_find
[Sun Nov 04 10:37:49 2007] [crit] Parent: child process
exited with status
2
-- Aborting.
Searching Google reveals very little information about apc
errors and
trying
different environments didn't change a thing. We tried the
same solution on
Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows 2000, Windows XP SP 2, and
Windows Vista
all
editions but the same error keeps popping up. Disabling the
apc extension
in
php.ini will render the following error when accessing the
instance
homepage:
Notice: Campsite error: not valid site alias in
G:wwwtemplate_engineclassesCampTemplate.php on line 119
Fatal error: Call to undefined function apc_fetch() in
G:wwwclassesCampCache.php on line 118
Any hints on resolving the apc-error????
