CORRECTION: In a previous edition of this newsletter,
CertCities.com reported that the Open Group's IT Architect
Certification program had reached a count of 1,000. However,
that number actually applies to a separate certification
program that the organization offers for IT architects,
TOGAF 8.
CertCities.com apologies for this error.

"I'm currently preparing for the BCMSN exam and my
lab consists
of the following:
one 3640
two 2503
one 1924 (that's funny)
one 2924
I plan on getting a 2621 and two 2950s, but my question is,
what else would I need for the CCNP lab? Would a Layer 3
switch
be necessary?"

* How to Find MAC on a Specific Port * (Cisco -- Other
Forum)
hassar10 writes:
"We have about 70 Catalyst switches and one router.
The router
has about nine blades in it. Some switches have 48 ports and
some have 36 ports. All these ports are attached to servers
and
clients. If I look at the cables, it's just a mess, and
there
is no way to trace each cable from the server. To find out
what
is connected to what port, I have a list of MAC addresses
for
my servers and clients, but I don't know which ports
they're
connected to. Is there a way or commands on these switches
(router) which I can use to find the MAC address of the
machine
which is connected to a specific port?"
