1) THIS WEEK'S IT CERTIFICATION NEWS
** Potential Impact of Microsoft's TestKing.com Suit
Unclear
Last week when Microsoft filed a federal copyright
infringement
lawsuit against leading braindump site TestKing.com, many
hailed it as a shot across the bow against the so-far
elusive
foreign providers that deal in IT certification exam
questions
and answers. However, even if Microsoft wins the legal
battle
against TestKing.com, the war against braindumps could
remain
unchanged due to difficulties in collecting overseas
judgments.

** Microsoft Sues Testing Materials Vendor
Microsoft has filed a federal lawsuit against testing
materials
vendor TestKing, alleging that the company is illegally
selling
the actual answers to its certification exams.

exams,
currently in development phase.

"I have been using PowerQuest PartitionMagic 7.0
(PowerQuest
is now owned and controlled by Symantec from a year or so

and like it. Some annoying things I've noticed with it: If
you
install or create a Linux partition NOT with PMagic later
on,
at least in my case, you open PMagic and it marks the Linux
Ext2 partition as 'BAD.' I don't like that...I've read a
few
things about people saying PMagic has turned into crap.
Anybody have a take on this? What does everyone else
use?"

"I've heard mixed things about agencies. As I
haven't really
looked into any before and only know what I have heard (some
get paid a fee from the employer while others take a fee
from
your salary). While I'm in my search for a new position, is
this something to consider?"
