2) ZUBAIR'S TIP O' THE WEEK: STOP WINDOWS MESSENGER FROM
STARTING UP
QUESTION:
How do I prevent Windows Messenger from starting up each
time I log
on to Windows XP?
ANSWER:
This is a question that's asked by a lot of people. If you
do not
use Windows Messenger and would like to get rid of it,
follow the
procedure described below:
1. Start the registry editor, regedit.exe.
2. Go to HKEY_USERS and locate your SID, which is a long
number that
starts with S and contains more than 40 digits.
3. Go to SOFTWAREMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionRun.
4. Locate MSMSGS key in the right pane and delete it.
5. Restart your computer.

*DHCP Between Firewall Contexts* (Cisco -- Real World
Forum)
parklabel writes:
"We have a 6509 with five FWSM security contexts,
Context1 through
Context5. We have a DHCP server behind Context1. What we
want to do
is allow DHCP through the contexts.
All of the contexts are set up for DHCP relay. All of the
outside
interfaces are configured for DHCP relay (except on
Context1). All of
the inside interfaces are configured for DHCP relay server.
DHCP
relay server address is also configured for the outside
interfaces..."

*ISDN Question* (CCNA/CCNP Forum)
roai writes:
"With regard to ISDN BRI, two B-channels have their own
SPIDs/LDNs.
Should I need to define both dialing digits (LDNs) of
RouterB in
RouterA with commands 'dialer string' or 'dialer map'? I
just want to
confirm with you guys because it should be defined in my
understanding. How can you use the second B-channel if you
don't have
the string number to dial, right? Because in Sybex, he
defined only
one dialer string while both two LDNs are given. Please
englighten
me if I'm mistaken."

*Thermal Paste* (Miscellaneous Forum)
pentium4forever writes:
"My main computer, a P4, my first PC I built back in
summer of '03 --
a few weeks or so ago, I had the computer running for well
over 30
minutes. Went into the BIOS set up and monitored the temp.
It was
going up to 122F! I was scared! Back when I built the system
I
accidentally moved the CPU lever with too much force and had
the
mobo fixed by Asus. There's more of a story than just that
but I had
the CPU taken out a few times and my tech uncle said there's
enough
thermal pad left, don't worry about it. Since then, I've not
worried
about it. I've monitored the temp time to time just to see
what's
going on. It was at 102-105, usually. When I saw it jump up
to 122F,
I figured it was time to take action..."
