Hello,
I have a new customer that currently has a couple of Nokias
IP265 running
R60 HFA01, those work on HA using VRRP and are being managed
by a
Smartcenter on the same version but running over Windows
2003 server.
The strange situation I noticed is that when analyzing SV
Monitor to check
how were the CPU and memory resources of those Nokia boxes,
I noticed the
cluster part of it says the operation mode is IPSO
Clustering and both
modules are reported as active.
I checked then the Voyager web interface of both boxes and
found they are in
fact running VRRP and no IPSO Clustering exists at all, also
on that web
interface I can clearly see one of the boxes is active
while the other is
standby. Then I checked the cluster object in the Smart
Dashboard and found
that in fact the 3rd party configuration for clustering is
configured
properly, HA was selected and VRRP shows for that option.
So I wonder from were is SV Monitor taking configuration
data to show those
are running on IPSO Clustering and doing load sharing
(given the fact that
shows them both as active).
This is a new customer and so it is until now that I get
involved in the
Check Point config, so I donīt really know if the person who
put all this in
place did something wrong.
We are currently planning to upgrade soon this installation
to HFA04 and I'm
thinking maybe this strange info in the Monitor is related
with a bug and we
might see it dissapear after the upgrade, but in the mean
time I would like
to know if anybody else has seen this issue before.
Thanks in advance for any help with this situation.
Regards
