Dangers? How so? Once the thing is installed, it's
installed. If there was
any kind of "danger" we would be reading about it
on Secunia.
We use Red Hat Enterprise Linux for just about everything
(200+ servers) but
we would never consider it for the firewalls. Using the
vendor-supplied OS
promotes stability and reliability with these specialized
applications
called "firewalls."
