Hi all,

I need to create a large number of ip address range objects
with dbedit.
To do this I intend to use the tool "ofiller" but
cannot create those
ranges, e.g 10.1.1.1 - 10.1.1.100. I tried it using the
following syntax:

ofiller.exe -t range -s 10.1.1.1 -d 10.1.1.100 -m 24 -o
test.csv

Here the program stops and tells me ". No valid objects
were processed!".
I tried other combinations (-m 26...) too, but all I got
were many objects
not just the one range object I wanted to create.

I'm a bit confused why I need the option "-m" at
all since I only need a
range...

Could someone give me a hint (an example would be helpful)?

Mit freundlichen Gruessen - Best regards

I hope you got the CPU power to deal with that. In Check
Point ranges
are real resource consumers. The rules are in fact written
for the
individual addresses.

Just for fun. Define a Class B like address range and use it
in your NAT
rules in both source and destination.

You should have time to pick your own coffee beans, process
them and
make your coffee while yo do a policy install.

Hugo.
