Performance effect of track Account

What is the performance effect of using "account"
instead of "log" in the track column of checkpoint
ngx rules? Did you try the account option for track at your
CP firewalls?

I never saw an impact on R55 with 10 M/bps of bandwidth. I
would use Account only where needed, such as remote access
and site-to-site VPNs where I might have a real reason to
know how much traffic was passed when.

For instance, we had a work-at-home employee who claimed she
was working long and hard. She was staying logged in for
hours at a time. But she would only transfer a few dozen
megabytes a day if that.

Or we would look at recently terminated/recently quit
employee's usage to see if they had transferred an abnormal
amount of files during their last weeks at work.

I used SmartView Reporter to generate the reports. I'm not
sure how you would do it manually.
