Error installing R55 on Nokia IP500

Since it is IPSO and you are not necessarily suppose to
un-tar/gzip the
file you might try to run the command 'newpkg -i' 

Tell it to install from the local file system and tell it
the relative
path to the file.

IE if the file is in /var/temp/IPSO_wrapper_R55.tgz the
relative path is
/var/temp.

Give that a try and let me know how it works!

Hi All,

We were trying to install IPSO wrapper R55 on Nokia running
IPSO 3.7.
IPSO 
3.7 was a fresh install. We were just not able to install
R55 using the 
newpkg cmd & got the below msg:

Do you want to download ?  ['yes (default)' or 'no' or
'exit']:
Processing package IPSO_wrapper_R55.tgz ...

Error: IPSO_wrapper_R55.tgz is not a valid tar file!


We tried installing FP3 but the same msg also downloaded a
new pkg from
CP 
but the msg persists.


After rebooting the Nokia at times we got the below msg:


IPSO_wrapper_R55/INSTALL POST /opt/IPSO_wrapper_R55 
/tmp/pkg/IPSO_wrapper_R55/.UPGRADED don't exist !!

From the above msg we tried creating CPshared-R55 dir
manually but

luck.
