Greetings,
A new SmartDefense Update has been released today, May 24,
2006 for users
of VPN-1 NGX R61 & R60, VPN-1 NG with Application
Intelligence R55W, R55 &
R54 and users of InterSpect NGX & 2.0.
A zero-day attack has been reported using a code execution
vulnerability in
Microsoft Word. In order for this attack to be triggered, a
user must open
a malicious Word document attached to an e-mail provided by
an attacker.
Opening the Word file causes the system to be exploited. By
activating the
SmartDefense protection you will be able to identify the
worm's attempt to
connect to a Web server hosting the vulnerability.
