Is there another "non free" version of
lighttpd??

If you want some hard competition, how about Zeus?

It'd be kind of unfair, but why not? We can
accept to be slightly
slower than Tux simply because Cherokee is a user-land
server (much
more secure), and it implements way much more features.

It wouldn't be legal to include Zeus in the benchmark. As
the bast
majority of that class of closed source products, they
don't allow
you to publish comparisons (it is on the license you gotta
accept).

Zeus is a very good server, so it'd be nice to be allowed
to do so.
Anyway, we can do it indoors to be sure that Cherokee
continue
winning the competition, even it we cannot say it openly.

By the way, Cherokee 0.6 is gonna catch Zeus in many of
its handy
  goodies.
