ubuntu specific packages

with Gunnar's help, I've built dapper specific packages for
Cherokee 
(0.5.5). Being the lazy slug that I am, as new versions come
out, I will 
track Gunnar's releases and make them available to people at
large.

When I complete my testing, is there anyone else that would
be 
interested in verifying the package is in decent shape?

  Are you going to work with the Ubuntu community to keep
the packages
  updated?  That would be ideal.

Sure. Please provide me with an URL to fetch binary or
source packages
for Debian or Ubuntu when you or Gunnar consider it
appropiate. I'll be
glad to test it in i386 and PPC64 architectures, and
probably Alpha in a
few months. Have you requested a sync to the MOTU's?

that's the theory.  I want to make sure I do it right first
before 
raising my head in that meritocracy.

right now I'm working on making some additions to distutils
that will 
let me control ownership and permissions of files as part of
the 
installation process.

as soon as that is done, I will start testing again
