simplejson and CP autoreload

As soon as I add an "import simplejson" cherrypy
continually shuts
down and tries to restart in "development" mode.
 Not sure why
simplejson would have that effect -- when I run in
"production" mode
there is no problem.  I am running CP 2.1.  Any ideas?

Is it in a .egg file? If so, unpack it or install by other
way.

It is.  I downloaded what I thought was the plain tar.gz
file for
simplejson but when I did setup.py install, it did install
the egg.  I
have easy_install so maybe it detects that.  How exactly do
you
"unpack" it?

Fromthe directory in which you had untarred the file, you
can do

easy_install --always-unzip .
