All,

I am pleased to announce the release of the first book about
the
CherryPy library: CherryPy Essentials.

Written around CherryPy 3 the book has been published by
Packt
Publishing on March 31st, 2007 [1].

CherryPy Essentials aims at providing a good background
about web
development based on CherryPy 3 and Python in general
through the
introduction of other tools such Dejavu, Kid, funkload,
etc.

You can find out more via the two main resources of the
book:

 * its Packt Publishing page: http://www.pack
tpub.com/CherryPy/book
 * its own home: http://www.cherryp
yessentials.com/

Packt also commits to the development of OSS projects by
paying back to
the project a percentage of the sales of the book.

I hope you will enjoy that book as much as I enjoyed writing
it. Please
do not hesitate to send me your feedback or report any
errors you could
spot (hopefully not too many ;)).

- Sylvain

Please note that some distributors have not yet modified the
status of
the book and do not display it as available but this should
be fixed in
the coming days. I apologize for the inconvenience.

Congratulations!

It is nice having more resources, specially on a key piece
of software for
so many applications.

Well, that hardly seems fair...

Well they do support viable project
I'm kidding. The publisher knows about it and they should
fix that. ahem.

Congratulations for all your hard work on the book !
Having reviewed the book I can attest that it is a great
resource for anyone
using CherryPy, whether you're just getting started or you
need more
advanced documentation.

Remi.
